The Alwar Quartzite has been used to build monuments in Delhi and North India, such as the Purana Quila & Humayun’s tomb.

_{Alwar Quartzite is exposed along the Delhi Ridge. This feature was once a continuous ridge over a century ago, but today it has been used up by mining done during urbanization and reduced to outcrops in the South Delhi region. These can be seen at Tughlaqabad, Okhla, Bhatti Mines area, Asola, Mandi, Greater Kailash, Vasant Kunj, Naraina, and the Buddha Jayanti Park.}
